5. Fact: A fact is something that is true and can be proven with information.

6. Opinion: An idea about something that is someone's personal thought.

7. Informed Opinion: An opinion someone has after hearing all of the facts and having the correct information to release a statement.

8. You could find facts when writing for The Dispatch by interviewing different people and researching whatever topic you are writing about on trusted websites.

9. An adult who has been given all the facts, such as a teacher, would most likely make a good informed opinion, rather than a student.

10. If you are writing something that you strongly believe in, you may accidentally let your own opinions slip in your writing.

11. Some words that cue me in that I'm writing opinions are, I, me, think, and any opinion type phrases such as, I don't like this.

12. The first amendment specifies the rights of the press.

13. The amendment says that people have freedom of the press.

14. I feel like the purpose of journalism has always been the same: to inform people about important news going on in their area or worldwide.

15. All of the headlines were about Donald Trump and controversial events surrounding him.

16. I think that some of the articles may be slightly biased towards Trump and his actions simply because of how they worded things to make it sound bad.

 17. Some of the articles chose to cover other things on their covers to appear less bias towards certain topics.

18. I don't think that all news should be covered the same because some of the more biased websites might dig a little deeper to find some of the harsher facts that other news sources might not want to report.

19. I think that as long people know that a website is slanted towards one side or the other before going on it, it is fine for websites to be a little bias.

20. I think you should click on multiple sources even if they aren't written the way you want you want it to be. If you don't look at different writing sources, you may not get all the facts.

21. I think that the media just needs to use all of the facts in a story and be as truthful as possible in order to accurately report new stories.
