Student of the Month Interview

1.) What are some steps you have taken to win this award?

Study hard, pay attention in class, and respect people. It also helps to join lot of clubs and get to know people.

2.) Was it difficult to maintain schoolwork and after-school activities?

Yes, at first. After a while it gets easier because it becomes part of your routine.

3.) What qualities do you have that gave you the role of student of the month.

I get good grades and I have a good relationship with my teachers and peers.

4.) Is being the student of the month difficult for you?

It's not really difficult, it's really just an award I've received.

5.) What advice would you have for your fellow classmates to be successful in school?

Always take notes, they help a lot. Pay attention in class because without effort, you won't do as well as you can.

6.) What is something you do everyday to help you stay organized?

I have a planner that I put everything in and I write everything down so that helps me remember what I have to do.

7.) What's the hardest part of being a good student?

All the work I get and trying to maintain it.

8.) Do you do many activities outside of school?

I take some dance classes outside of school.

9.) If so, do these activities affect your schoolwork?

Dance takes up some time depending on how late I have to stay but most of my week revolves around school.

10.) What is an everyday step you take to stay on top of things?

Everyday, I drink lots of water and study my notes in the morning before school.

11.) Do you think that your peers are good students as well?

I think that many of my peers have the potential to be good students, they just don't apply themselves.

12.) How long does it take you to complete assignments after school?

This really depends on what classes and teachers I have that day but it normally takes me around 2 hours to get everything done.

13.) Do you start on homework right after school or use a different method?

When I get home I just watch TV or go on my phone for an hour to give myself a brain break. After this, I will start on homework.

14.) What are some ways that help you stay on task?

When I'm working on something, I will put my phone across the room so that I'm not tempted to check it and get off task.

15.) Have you had any late assignments this past six weeks?

I have had late assignments in the past but none so far this six weeks.

16.) What types of grades do you need in order to become student of the month?

In order to be student of the month you need to have all As with the exception of maybe one B.

17.) How do you feel about being given this title?

I feel proud that all my hard work has paid off and I think it's really great that my teachers appreciate it.

18.) Do you have lots of free time while working so hard?

I don't have much free time during the week but most of my weekends are free.

19.) Have you had any trouble in your classes?

Math has always been a struggle for me but I'm working through it and going to tutoring to help me.

20.) Do you enjoy going to school?

No.
