Patrick Robinson of the Philadelphia Eagles is overcome after the team defeated the New England Patriots 44-31 in Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis on Feb. 4. The Eagles, led by backup quarterback Nick Foles, clinched the first Super Bowl title in franchise history, setting off confetti on the field and raucous celebrations back home.

I really liked this picture because it just really makes you feel like you are in the moment with the player. The photographer did a really good job of capturing the emotions that were being felt.

Deputy sheriff Dorothy Onikute responds to an overdose call on Feb. 4 in Alcalde, N.M. This photo appeared in "The Opioid Diaries," TIME's March 5 special report on the national emergency, which killed nearly 49,000 people in the U.S. last year. Photographer James Nachtwey and TIME's Paul Moakley traveled across the country to interview opioid users, first responders and others directly affected by the addiction epidemic. "The only way to make real sense of it," Nachtwey wrote, "was to see what happens to individual human beings, one by one."

Though this is a very sad image, I really love how real it is. The photographer is helping people to understand what happens when people overdose and I just think it's an interesting picture overall.

Aretha Franklin's casket during a viewing at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit on Aug. 28. Franklin, 76, died from advanced pancreatic cancer on Aug. 16.

Aretha Franklin was such a powerful woman and this picture, to me, shows how everything comes to an end eventually. Even such influential people such as Franklin are put to rest and the photographer just captured the moment really well and respectfully.

Bazzi has released many popular songs in 2018 but I think that Mine was one of the most popular ones. It may not have been the "best song" of 2018 but it was played repeatedly and used for videos on different social media platforms. I think that the constant use of the song probably made it one of the biggest songs of 2018.

I think that even though this movie wasn't #1 on the list, it was definitely one of the best movies of 2018. The movie did a really good job of showing the realities of middle school and growing up.
The movie also touched on some more uncomfortable topics such as sexual assault and I think that was really good for the audience to see and learn about.

  • Jan. 11: Trump reportedly referred to Haiti, El Salvador and some African nations as “shithole countries” in a closed-door meeting. The comment was used by Trump opponents as evidence of racism and bigotry in the Oval Office and was co-opted by activists throughout the year.

I think that this story was very important because so many people are opposed to Trump and him saying these types of things could really help people expose him and possibly change the minds of other Trump supporters. I think it's also just important that all citizens should hear the things that their president is saying about other countries.

I think that Meghan Markle is the most important person of 2018. Because of her previous reputation as an actress, she won people over all around the world. It is also really amazing that she is having to learn to adjust her ways and adapt to the royal life. She is also bringing another royal child into the family which is a pretty big deal as well.

I think that Cardi B is the most important "entertainment person" of 2018. She went from a nobody to a very well known celebrity in a relatively short amount of time. She is honestly just a very interesting person to watch day to day. She has had feuds with other celebrities and caused some big scenes out in public as well.

My Break:

1.) One thing from my break that I remember is going to the movies with Cecelia and another guy. It was a terrible movie but overall really fun.

2.) I have no resolutions for 2019. I will remain fat and happy. I might try to get my skin under control.

3.) I am looking forward to making more memories and taking more trips with friends and family in 2019.

I don't really think clothing would affect anything but it might look cool if you coordinated your outfit with your surroundings.
