Once upon a time, there was a little girl that never obeyed her mother. She didn't do the dishes, she never cleaned her room, and she always fought with her sisters. After years of this, her mother told her that if she didn't start behaving then she would leave with the baby and her sister, and leave the girl with a wooden donkey. The girl laughed this off because of how silly it sounded to her. She disregarded it and went out to the town to hang out with friends. On the way there she saw a young woman with long dreads playing the bongos. The bongos had a beautiful shiny outside cover and a large booming sound. They put her in a trance. She ran to the woman and asked if she could have them. The woman made a deal with the girl: if she misbehaved for her mother for three full days she would give the girl the drums. The girl didn't think twice about the deal and ran home quickly to bother her mother. The first night she misbehaved, the girl's mother didn't react. The second night, her temper was rising. But by the third, she said that if the girl acted out again then she would follow through with her promise to leave. Once again the girl though nothing of it, misbehaved, then ran to the young woman in the park to retrieve her bongos. She told the woman how poorly she had acted and reached out to receive her prize. The woman just laughed and told her that it had only been a joke. The girl was heartbroken and slumped back home. But as she looked around the house was dark and quiet, the only thing visible was the silhouette of a wooden figure waiting for her in the rocking chair.
